Job Description

Position Overview:
Are you a skilled Machinist with a passion for precision? Do you possess CNC programming expertise that stands out in the industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at Magnum Venus Products (MVP). We are seeking talented Machinists and CNC Set-up and Programmers to join our dynamic Machine Shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze blueprints, sketches, and technical documents to determine dimensions, tolerances, and operational sequences.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on materials as guides for machining processes.
  • Select and secure appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on various machines including mills and lathes.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed and depth of cut.
  • Conduct trial runs to verify the accuracy of machine settings and programmed data.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure finished products meet specifications using standard measurement tools.
  • Assemble and fit mechanical components for industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Install replacement parts and test machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Industrial Arts or Metal Fabrication, or equivalent experience in an industrial toolroom.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and G.D.&T. standards.
  • Knowledge of standard metrology tools and inspection techniques.
  • Exceptional toolmaking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to solve practical problems in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work near moving mechanical parts.
