RiverSide Integrated Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Lewiston, MN. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and timeliness of product provided to our customers and internal teams.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Coordinate all purchasing activity for assigned products, including review of material requirements, purchase order placement, expedites/de-expedites, order confirmations, past due purchase order follow-up, non-conforming material disposition, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Perform ERP system part number/supplier maintenance and PO entry/changes.
  • Initiate cost reductions through effective negotiation strategies.
  • Strategic product sourcing.
  • Supplier qualification.
  • Supplier development.
  • Communications both internally to other teams/departments within the company and externally with suppliers and customers.
  • Develop inventory planning initiatives for key items.
  • Review and provide external feedback of supplier quality and delivery performance.
  • Perform supplier audits as required.
  • Provide support for supply chain compliance initiatives (RoHS, Reach, Conflict Minerals etc.).
  • Participate in Supply Management improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain ethical conduct and confidentiality.

**Requirements:**

  • A minimum of 3 years purchasing experience.
  • 2 to 4-year business related degree preferred.
  • Manufacturing and MRP experience desirable.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and in team setting.

**Travel:**

This position may travel between the RiverSide Lewiston and Winona facilities. Infrequent travel for trainings and/or business needs may be required.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit.
  • Lifting up to 10 pounds.

**Work Environment:**

Office setting.
