Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Massage Therapist to join our team at The Mather in Tysons. As a Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality massage and body treatments to our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and sensitivity to age and gender-related issues during all guest interactions.
  • Perform consecutive spa treatments, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
  • Properly care for professional spa equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Continuously learn services and products while educating and training spa guests in these areas.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
  • Promote wellness retail programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
  • Perform prep work and properly clean and restock room as required.
  • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold and maintain a current State Massage Therapist license.
  • Ability to use or learn a variety of tech-based services and platforms.
  • Thorough knowledge of the anatomy system and excellent massage and bodywork techniques.
  • Excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills.
