We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at Saint Vincent Hospital. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients appropriately for scanning procedures
- Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
- Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety
- Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans to determine their technical quality
- Communicate effectively with patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Basic computer skills
