CFD Engineer

We are seeking an experienced CFD engineer to support the design and optimization of more capable and cost-effective nuclear reactors for the US nuclear navy.

• Development and evaluation of new design concepts using state-of-the-art CFD methods, software, and computer systems.
• Qualification of analytical modeling methods and design of supplemental hydraulic tests where needed.
• Leadership and development of more junior CFD engineers.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-discipline reactor design team focused on defining the design space and technology required for a next-generation submarine targeting high-level notional goals.

This role requires frequent and effective communication with other core design, materials performance, core manufacturing, and reactor plant development engineers.
