About the Role

This is a senior-level position that reports directly to our IT leadership team. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, prioritize requirements, and develop strategic roadmaps to drive business success.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Developing and implementing software development methodologies, processes, and tools to ensure efficient and effective delivery of software applications.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to enhance their technical skills and career growth.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
  • Partnering with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Information Management, and the Enterprise Project Management Office to enable the business to execute both long-range and near-term goals and objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, preferably.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • 3 years of supervisory/management experience, required.
  • 5 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or other cloud, required.
  • 5 years of experience in software engineering, required.
  • Utilize programming languages like Vue, React, Java, Spring, HTML/CSS, Node.js, SQL, Python, Open Source databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.
  • Knowledge of Idenity Management platform like Ping Identity, Okta, IBM IAM.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle and related methodologies.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage a backlog of application development and maintenance work, estimating work tasks and forecasting level and mix of skills needed to support business objectives.
  • Advanced knowledge of business platforms and systems, methodologies, data governance, and reporting.
  • Demonstrates and possesses an in-depth understanding of business needs and requirements.

Physical Exertion Details

This role requires sedentary work, involving sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. The job involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Travel Requirement Details

This position requires occasional travel, infrequently (typically, once a month or less).
