Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled HLA Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our medical laboratory, you will be responsible for performing routine assays and general clerical tasks, as well as high-complexity histocompatibility testing on various types of clinical samples.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine assays and general clerical tasks
• Perform high-complexity histocompatibility testing on various types of clinical samples
• Analyze and evaluate results, and generate and evaluate clinical reports
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control procedures and initiate corrective action for errors, as needed
• Participate in equipment maintenance, instrumentation calibration, quality control and documentation, and maintain adequate levels of supplies and equipment
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a chemical, physical or biological science
• Certification must be obtained by one of the following accreditation agencies: MT (ASCP), MLS(ASCP) or categorical, MT(NCA), MT(AMT), MT(HHS or HEW), CHT(ABHI), CHS(ABHI)
