Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Production Mixer to join our team on the 3rd shift at our food manufacturing plant in Kent, Washington. As a Production Mixer, you will be responsible for mixing ingredients to produce batter according to formula, weighing and mixing ingredients in a mixing tank, and recording information regarding ingredients and timing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tend to machines that mix ingredients such as salt, flour, eggs, and soda to produce batter according to formula.
  • Weigh and mix ingredients in a mixing tank.
  • Hand-stir mix with a 3-foot long spatula.
  • Record information regarding ingredients and timing.
  • Receive instructions from a Cook in person or on the telephone regarding the mixes needed.
  • Record temperature of mixes.
  • Understand and adhere to safety, food safety (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
  • Trained and validated to clean and sanitize equipment and surroundings specific to their focus area.
  • Trained and knowledgeable of the principles of sanitation, proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques, and PPE requirements.
  • Trained and knowledgeable of ladder safety.
  • Trained and knowledgeable in water and drain management.
  • Must have basic knowledge of plant-specific cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, chemical solution strengths, and chemical handling.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Can work overtime to meet production deadlines.
  • Can rotate to the position of Production Specialist.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Other production-specific duties.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing.
