Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Bartender and Server to join our team at Odawa Casino Resort. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Excellent Service: Greet and welcome guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Anticipate Guest Needs: Monitor guest consumption and respond accordingly, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment: Keep the bar area stocked, clean, and ready for guests, adhering to health codes and safety guidelines.
  • Operate Point of Sale Systems: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, and maintain financial controls.
  • Upsell and Suggestive Sell: Use product knowledge to recommend drinks and food, increasing sales and enhancing the guest experience.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless service, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Meet Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform other physical tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 Year Experience: In bartending or a related service industry role.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
  • TIPS Training and Certification: Completion of TIPS training and certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Native American Preference: Preference given to Native Americans in accordance with applicable tribal law.
