As a Ticket Checker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Vail Resorts. Our team works primarily in the lift mazes, where you will greet guests by name, validate their access, and provide a fun, welcoming atmosphere. This role requires a unique blend of customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Premium Guest Service: Provide information and assistance to guests with a smile, ensuring a positive experience.
- Validate Tickets: Ensure guests have their own valid product before loading our lifts, maintaining the integrity of our products.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work cooperatively with other teams to manage lift lines safely and efficiently.
- Maintain Departmental Equipment: Secure and maintain departmental equipment, including scan devices and radios.
- Escalate Issues: Address safety and product-related issues promptly, escalating to leadership as needed.
- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
- Availability: Willingness to work 35+ hours/week (Full-Time) or 15+ hours/week (Part-Time), with flexibility to work across multiple departments and roles.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, standing and moving for extended periods on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
- Safety Standards: Adherence to safety standards and procedures, with a focus on Be Safe, our number one value.
