Job Summary

Mercy Medical Center Redding is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Traveling Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services to patients with a range of conditions, including cardiac, stroke, orthopedic, ICU, neuro, and med-surg patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and coordination.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on acute care hospital experience.
  • Active BLS certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Schedule

This is a temporary position with a 4-day workweek, with 10-hour shifts from 7am-5:30pm. You will work every 3rd weekend and will be part of a permanent staff rotation for all modalities.

Unit Specific Information
  • Nurse Aides: PT aides will be available on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and two aides will be available on Wednesdays through Saturdays.
  • Holidays: You will work into a permanent staff rotation for all modalities.
  • Scrub Color: You will wear a polo-style shirt or a button-down long sleeve (burgundy in color) provided by the vendor, along with dark (solid) pants.
