About the Role

Exide Technologies is seeking a skilled Recycling Production Operator to join our team at our Forest City, Missouri facility. As a Recycling Production Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our recycling processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate high-speed blenders and blending/milling equipment to process recyclable materials
  • Monitor and record temperature readings from smelters and spray dryers
  • Empty smelters and package materials for shipment
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
  • Ability to operate equipment and heavy machinery safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in recycling, smelting, or metallurgical processing
  • Knowledge of pumps, flow processes, and electrical systems
  • Heavy equipment operation experience
