Job Summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a skilled Server to join our team. As a key member of our restaurant team, you will provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Your friendly and efficient service will make a lasting impression, setting us apart from the competition.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and serve each customer with a sincere, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Be knowledgeable of menu items and promote daily specials to increase sales.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  • Prioritize tasks according to kitchen and dining guest needs, ensuring seamless service.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities to operating standards, adhering to safety procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and leaders, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • A dedicated individual who works well with others and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Basic computer/POS knowledge preferred, but not required.
  • Previous food service experience is a plus, but not necessary.
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular talking and hearing, as well as occasional standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending over, crouching, crawling, climbing, and repetitive use of legs. The team member may be required to lift up to 50 lbs and/or move heavy objects. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
