Position Overview:

The Armed Patrol Officer at Signal will be responsible for conducting thorough patrols of designated areas, including foot and vehicle inspections, to ensure the safety and security of properties and individuals. This role requires a high level of attentiveness and proactive engagement with the community.

Work Schedule:

Available shifts include full-time or part-time positions, primarily during overnight hours. Example shift times are:

  • 7 PM - 5 AM (flexible ending time)
  • 9 PM - 5 AM
  • 12 PM - 12 AM

Compensation:

Starting pay for armed positions is $17 per hour, with $18 per hour for overnight roving patrol roles.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Open availability for night and weekend shifts is preferred; limited day shift availability.
  • Valid driver's license and necessary security licenses (D and G).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Personal smartphone capable of downloading and using required applications.
  • Confidence and comfort in verbal de-escalation techniques.
  • All armed applicants must provide their own gear, including duty belt, level 3 holster, vest, and firearm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various mobile security services while operating a company patrol vehicle.
  • Write detailed reports using company technology and software during each shift.
  • Arrive on time for shifts and adhere to dress code and appearance standards.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to foster a positive service relationship.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any property-related information.
  • Maintain responsibility for assigned vehicles and equipment during shifts.
  • Manage daily activities to meet benchmarks set by the Branch Patrol Supervisor.
  • Utilize effective communication to de-escalate issues professionally.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug test.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Complete training modules within the first month of employment.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism and organizational values at all times.
  • Able to lift equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
