Job Summary

GableTek is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Welder Trainee. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for learning and mastering various welding techniques and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and apply MIG and TIG welding fundamentals and theory to produce high-quality welds.
  • Follow detailed welding diagrams, work orders, and frame design layouts to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Operate and maintain welding and cutting equipment, including setup and calibration.
  • Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in a jig to ensure proper alignment and fit.
  • Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions, adhering to strict quality standards.
  • Grind welds flush and smooth, feathering the welded/ground area to flat surfaces.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed paperwork and record-keeping to track production and quality metrics.
Training and Development

As a Welder Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training and preparation to take the Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) exam from the American Welding Society (AWS). Our training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role and advance your career.
