We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position in the Section of Interdisciplinary Dentistry at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry. The successful candidate will be appointed to the clinical track and will serve as the Group Practice Director, overseeing the delivery of general dentistry procedures and supervising students in a clinical setting.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in general dentistry, with a minimum of 5 years of practice experience and 5 years of teaching and/or administration in a dental school setting. A demonstrated track record of patient care and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for screening and assessing new patients, chair-side comprehensive treatment planning, and discussing treatment plans with patients. They will also supervise the interaction between students and patients, resolve conflicts, and promote an environment of collaboration with faculty from other disciplines.
The salary range for this position is $118,000 - $183,500, with opportunities for intra-mural part-time private practice. Qualifications
Basic qualifications include a DMD/DDS degree from an accredited institution, active California Dental License in good standing, and a minimum of 5 years of general dental practice experience. Additional qualifications include a demonstrated track record in general dental practice with outstanding patient care, and preference will be given to those practicing General Dentistry.
Preferred qualifications include teaching experience at a dental school, management and staff supervision responsibilities, a track record of scholarly and creative activities, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Familiarity with dental clinical databases and the generation of reports is also desirable.
