Job Responsibilities: The Nursing Department at Avera McKennan expects all nurses to deliver competent nursing care and uphold a professional demeanor in their role as an RN. The position aligns with the American Nurses Association (ANA) scope and standards of practice. The Registered Nurse is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care to patients, taking responsibility for their actions and the outcomes of the care provided during their shifts.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota or meet multi-state licensure requirements.
- Specialty certification is preferred.
Work Schedule:
- Shifts: 7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a; varied shifts between days and nights. A $3 shift differential is available for hours worked between 7p and 7a, $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights.
Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is competitive, with actual rates dependent on experience, starting at $46.50 per hour.
