Position Overview
AscellaHealth LLC is seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee and maintain the general ledger across various entities within our organization. This role will involve managing cross-entity billing and accounting for transactions, while collaborating with senior finance leaders to analyze and review financial statements. Initially, this will be an individual contributor role focused on a comprehensive understanding of general ledger management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the General Ledger is maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for multiple AscellaHealth entities.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing processes along with related reporting for assigned entities.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of General Ledger accounts.
- Analyze significant variances against budget, month-over-month, and year-over-year.
- Manage cross-entity billing and accounting for transactions.
- Develop, document, and review internal control processes.
- Act as a liaison with external tax preparers and auditors for all entities.
- Collaborate with senior finance management to analyze and review financial statements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in work assignments.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of four years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial control principles.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Proficient in analyzing financial data and preparing reports, statements, and projections.
- Experience with accounting software and databases; familiarity with Dynamics Business Central is advantageous.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines with changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative based on familiarity with organizational processes.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to see projects through to completion.
- Extensive knowledge in optimizing processes and improving billing and collection operations.
- Ability to think independently and champion new initiatives within the scope of responsibilities.
