Van Driver Job Description

Ridwell is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for delivering Ridwell bins and bags to new members' houses, picking up recyclable and reusable items, and communicating with Ridwell driver support and the Ridwell driver manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Arrive on time to each stop on your route and follow instructions on the Ridwell fleet app.
  • Communicate any discrepancies on pick up with Ridwell driver support.
  • Understand time management and communicate when a route is taking longer than anticipated.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers.
  • Load and unload items into and out of the company-owned vans.
  • Use text message and email to communicate with Ridwell driver support and the Ridwell driver manager.
  • Deliver Ridwell bins and bags to new members' houses.
  • On-Board new Ridwell members by explaining the service and answering common questions.
  • Ensure compliance regarding all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to read and follow written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must own and be able to use a smartphone and Google or Apple Maps.
  • Ability to be on your feet or on a van route all day.
  • Ability to communicate effectively digitally over text message and email.
  • Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license and be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, and lift up to 49 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma.
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday and possible weekend shifts.
  • Must pass a background and motor vehicle history check if offered the position.
