Job Summary:
The CNA serves as a caregiver to residents during their scheduled work period, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). This role requires knowledge of age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs, as well as infection prevention and control policies.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and vital sign monitoring
- Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures as needed
- Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
- Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs
- Provides housekeeping and laundry services to maintain living areas
- Assists with wellness and recreational programs
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing

Estimated Salary: $19.50 - $22.43 per hour, based on location and experience.
