About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Parkridge East Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a scrub person during operative procedures, maintaining a sterile field and ensuring the proper handling of instruments.
  • Assist in the intra-operative care of patients, performing technical duties as assigned by the OR nurse.
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care to patients, supporting their rights and dignity throughout the surgical process.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the efficient and safe execution of procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program or equivalent training.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • BLS certification (new employees have up to 90 days from date of hire to obtain the American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers).
