We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma Coordinator to join our team at University Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care services, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and outcomes management, and promoting efficient and cost-effective care delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain trauma programs to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with trauma center accreditations and certifications.
- Coordinate care for trauma patients, including developing and implementing care plans.
- Lead and direct teams to promote efficient and effective care delivery.
- Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, hospital systems, and community resources to collaborate on trauma care projects.
- Assist in obtaining performance improvement data and developing projects to improve trauma service lines.
- Represent the Trauma Center on hospital committees as designated.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive clinical and management experience in nursing required.
- Experience with public speaking, excellent oral and written presentation skills required.
- 3+ years of experience in ED, ICU, or SDU required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- BTLS, PBTLS & PEPP ENPC provider certification preferred.
- TNCC Required.
