Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our Federal team in Pensacola, Florida. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for coordinating the development and execution of technical documentation.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Space Planning and Documentation: Develop and execute technical documentation, including space planning and interpreting project team assignments.
  • Design Collaboration: Coordinate production of schematic, design development, and construction documents with the project manager.
  • Construction Administration: Perform duties such as RFI's, RFP's, change orders, and other tasks related to construction administration.
  • Project Planning: Establish budget, task schedule, and work plan components with the project manager.
  • Design Envisioning: Work with the project team to develop the design concept for the project.
  • Furniture and Materials Selection: Assemble fabrics, finishes, and selections for review and use in the project.
  • Interior Architectural Design: Collaborate with the design team to craft the interior architectural envelope aligning with the concept story.
  • Specifications and Documentation: Write FF&E specifications, assemble information about selections, prepare detailed drawings of furniture, and prepare specifications and revisions under the direction of the senior interior designer.
  • Presentation and Marketing: Present internal project design materials to senior leadership and participate in marketing efforts, potentially leading presentations to prospective clients.
Requirements
  • A professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • 8 years of experience in interior design and architecture.
  • Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferred.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate work efforts of interns.
  • Experience in all phases and aspects of a project.
  • Familiarity with building codes, specifications, building, and engineering systems.
  • Understanding of project management process.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic.
