Job Description:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our psychiatric setting. This role involves supporting the healthcare team with patient care, monitoring mental health conditions, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients with psychiatric conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patients' physical and mental health, reporting changes to the appropriate personnel.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support patients in managing daily activities and maintaining a therapeutic routine.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in State or a Compact State.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with psychiatric patients.
  • Familiarity with psychiatric care protocols and best practices.

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
