Job Description:

This clinical nurse specialist position at NGHS requires a licensed RN in Georgia with at least 1 year of RN experience. A BSN is preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Participate in PNGC councils and Nursing Quality Teams to improve NDNQI nursing-sensitive indicators, RN Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience data.
  • Work together with other care team members to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team.
  • Develop knowledge and skills and show growth in ability to care for increasingly complex patients.
  • Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process and coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift.

  • Delivery of safe, effective, efficient care that meets population-specific guidelines.
  • Effective prioritization, problem recognition, and utilization of evidence-based practice.
  • Personal mastery, leadership of self and others, delegation, and support of NGHS shared governance model.
  • Basic computer skills to operate computer systems used on unit.
