Furniture Craftsman

Career Summary:

Furniture craftsman to join Dillon Creations Inc. in a Cabinetmaker role. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the industry and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Produce or assemble components of cabinets, ensuring specifications are met.

• Set up or operate machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, tenoners, molders, or shapers to cut, mold, or shape wood products.

• Measure and mark dimensions of parts prior to cutting to ensure a tight fit and quality product.

• Reinforce joints with nails or other fasteners to prepare cabinets for finishing.

• Attach parts to form completed units, using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps.

• Establish the specifications of cabinets to be constructed or repaired.

• Cut timber to the right size and shape and trim parts of joints to ensure a snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files.

• Match materials for color, grain, or texture.

• Trims, sands, or scrapes surfaces or joints to prepare cabinets for finishing.

We estimate an annual salary range of $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
