Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and oversee development and validation assessments (thermal, vibration, humidity, corrosion, electrical performance) on High Voltage Power Electronics.
  • Compile and maintain comprehensive documentation of test outcomes and generate detailed test reports.
  • Assist in identifying technical root causes and resolving issues encountered during testing.
  • Select and install necessary instrumentation to gather response data from test items during evaluations (including accelerometers, strain gauges, pressure gauges, thermocouples, voltage sense leads, etc.).
  • Effectively utilize standard testing apparatus such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and flowmeters independently.
  • Design and construct specialized testing equipment to facilitate development and validation assessments.
  • Contribute to the design and assembly of basic mechanical fixtures, jigs, and harnesses.
  • Proficient in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred technical degree in electronics or mechanics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental validation testing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in fabricating specialized electronic testing equipment and harnesses.
  • Familiarity with high voltage systems and a solid understanding of high voltage safety protocols.
  • Experience with common machine shop tools is advantageous.
  • Soldering skills are preferred.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and utilize manufacturers' product data sheets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic development environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and a strong commitment to task completion.
  • Ability to support testing at external facilities.
  • Hands-on mindset: Actively identifies and addresses gaps as necessary.
