We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting and processing blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques and ensure accurate labeling and processing.
- Deliver specimens to the laboratory for testing and maintain a high level of quality control.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed, including clerical functions, registration, lab processing, send-out testing, point of care testing, EKG, pacemaker interrogation, pathology lab assistant, bone marrow assistance, apheresis or therapeutic phlebotomy.
- Exercise critical thinking skills and make sound judgments to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing.
- High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
