Custodian III

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at the Texas Dept of Health and Human Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, bathing areas, and other high-touch surfaces to prevent the spread of illness and infection.
• Vacuum and use mechanical extractors to maintain clean floors and carpets.
• Apply finishes and maintain flooring in accordance with established procedures and safety measures.
• Assist with special events and projects as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
