Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Weekend Technologist to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations on patients, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI examinations on patients, adhering to department procedures and under the direction of the department Section Chief and Manager.
  • Communicate clinical observations made during MRI examinations to radiologists, presenting clinical history as recorded on appropriate documentation.
  • Demonstrate competency in venipuncture skills for patients requiring contrast administration during MRI studies.
  • Assist in gathering, recording data, and serving as a committee member for the Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement program.
  • Maintain responsibility for own professional development through active participation in inservices and/or continuing education programs.
  • Provide educational information to patients regarding their examination.
  • Accountable for the quality of digital images sent to PACS, verifying correct patient selection and accuracy of Medical Record information.
  • Review patient safety checklists prior to patient studies.
  • Responsible for the success of the department in achieving Press Ganey goals, including patient education and personalized business cards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/Entity and proper release of information.
  • Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding employee, patient, and environmental safety, and follow appropriate reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate/models the Network's Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers.
  • Demonstrate Performance Improvement in clinical care/outcomes, customer/service improvement, operational system/process, and safety.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes, and practices.
  • Comply with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT or ARMRIT registered, or ARRT or ARMRIT registry eligible.
  • Advanced MRI registry required within 1 year of hire.
  • 2 years experience as a staff technologist preferred.
  • 1-year experience as an MRI technologist preferred.
  • History of computer usage experience required.
  • Current CPR certification required before completion of orientation.
Work Schedule

Day shift with middle shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays as required based on the needs of the department. On call for emergencies.
