The Program Therapist is a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for providing social service functions to support patients in achieving their optimal level of emotional health and stability. This role involves assisting patients in accessing therapeutic treatment skills, providing basic consultation, teaching, individual and group therapy, family sessions, and crisis intervention services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' biopsychosocial needs and develop treatment plans to address their emotional health and stability.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as family sessions, to support patients' mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
- Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in crisis intervention services to support patients in times of need.
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
- State license in good standing or within 90 days of obtaining required license.
- Minimum one year of experience in a mental health field, with strong clinical assessment skills and direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
- Knowledge of CMS, TJC, TAC, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
- Texas License in Social Work or clinical related mental health field.
- Experience in psychiatric facility settings.
