Southcoast Health System is seeking a talented LPN-Float Pool to join our team. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
**About the Role:**
As a LPN-Float Pool, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including medication administration, patient and family teaching, and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. You will also facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office, and may be responsible for telephone communication with patients.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, patient and family teaching, and procedures
* Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic or medical office
* May be responsible for telephone communication with patients
* Utilize an Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other related software to update or access patient information
* Travel to SPG Primary Care sites to ensure patient care is delivered safely and appropriately
**Requirements:**
* Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent
* Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) is highly desirable
* Six months or more experience in related setting preferred
* Current LPN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required
* Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
