Job Title: Art Instructor

Exceptional Children's Foundation is seeking a skilled Art Instructor to join our team. As an Art Instructor, you will be responsible for guiding and facilitating studio art practices for adults with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement individual artistic goals and ensure artists' safety during operating hours.
  • Assist artists in maintaining progress notes and participating in meetings and in-services.
  • Provide supervision during artist arrival, departure, break, and lunchtime.
  • Give instruction in the proper use of materials, care, and protection of artwork.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and create protocols for increased safety.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 6 months of experience in studio work, teaching, or public and private art projects.
  • Knowledge of 2D and drawing & painting techniques.
  • Ability to use public transportation or ECF vehicle to transport artists.
