Job Description

As a Regional Truck Driver with Ryder, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination unit to transport goods from one location to another. Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including hours of service and safety standards
  • Loading and unloading freight, as well as maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Communicating effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other drivers to ensure seamless operations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A valid Class A or B CDL license, with endorsements for the required type of cargo
  • A minimum of 9 months experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions, as well as read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
