Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Sugarloaf Mountain Resort is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the service and repair of our fleet of company-owned vehicles, which include GM light trucks and vans, SnowCats and groomers, light and medium-duty busses, plow equipment, sanders, and various other equipment.

This is a year-round, benefit-eligible position that typically works a 40-hour workweek in four days. Pay is based on experience, with an estimated salary of $55,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of a fleet of vehicles and equipment, including lift maintenance, snow machines, mowers, small engines, and snowmaking equipment
  • Maintenance of ATVs, welders, chainsaws, pumps, and other small engine-type equipment
  • Performing brake work, front-end repairs, exhaust, and basic electrical diagnosis
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in equipment and vehicle maintenance/repair is required
  • Shop experience or a tech school degree in a related field is required
  • Prior work experience in welding and fabrication is desired
