Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Manager to oversee the Adolescent Substance Use Treatment Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the program's clinical services, including clinical assessments, individual counseling, family team conferences, and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of clinical policies, protocols, and programs for the Adolescent Substance Use Program.
- Oversee the review of all admission paperwork, active charts, and discharged charts to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Establish and implement utilization review and quality improvement plans to ensure that services reflect treatment needs.
- Consult with administrative and executive staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Hire, supervise, evaluate, and train counseling staff and vocational-related interns.
- Observe counselor and vocational staff performance in groups and evaluation sessions to ensure compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Determine productivity goals for the adolescent program and track staff progress.
- Define, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive vocational services and training plans that meet funding agency expectations.
- Develop and maintain liaisons with hospitals, behavioral health, and other community agencies to develop recruitment strategies.
- Coordinate linkage projects with HRA and welfare reform initiatives in New York State, including the Substance Abuse Tracking and Reporting System (STARS).
- Develop systems to collect, monitor, and report required data to OASAS.
- Evaluate and maintain databases with relevant vocational information and staff activities.
- Participate in clinic case conferences, supervise, and assist in training of clinical staff.
- Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP).
- CASAC preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience (training and supervision) required.
- At least 1 year of experience treating Behavioral Health Conditions with Adolescents required.
- Interpersonal, communication, and group facilitation skills required.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment required.
- Highly organized and able to work well independently required.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment and experience working with marginalized populations preferred.
- Experience with databases, including Excel, required.
The hours of this position are 10:00am – 6:00pm Monday through Thursday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday. This is a 100% grant-funded position.
