As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Catholic Health Initiatives, you will serve as a vital point of contact for individuals facing health crises within our community.
The role of an ER Nurse is dynamic and varied. You will be adept at multitasking and responding swiftly, prioritizing patients based on their medical urgency while providing emergency triage to others. Collaborating with a skilled clinical team, you will deliver essential care to patients by performing procedures such as IV insertions, foley catheter placements, and assisting healthcare providers with chest tube insertions.
To excel in this position, you should demonstrate strong teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking abilities, and a readiness to engage in additional initiatives aimed at enhancing patient experiences. Key Responsibilities
- Implement emergency triage protocols for patient intake, discharge, or admission.
- Provide stabilizing care to emergency patients across all age groups, adjusting treatment as necessary based on the patient's evolving condition.
- Utilize an understanding of cultural differences to deliver patient care that respects and aligns with individual values, beliefs, and customs. Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care plans and any changes in patient status.
- Participate in initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, including mentoring and patient experience programs.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of North Dakota.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Obtaining PALS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications within six months of employment.
Compensation
$46.51 per hour
