Job Summary:

As a skilled Med/Surg RN at CodeForce, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse range of patients, including those with bariatric, urology, and cancer conditions. Reporting to the Unit Manager, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, exercising judgment in delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff members.
• Participate in professional development, enhancing patient-focused nursing practice and age-specific care.
• Conduct timely and comprehensive patient assessments, interpreting data to inform care decisions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Engage in unit performance improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of excellence.
• Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to facility standards.
• Observe and report patient progress, communicating effectively with physicians and documenting in medical records.
• Screen for and communicate discharge needs, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
• Accurately record vital signs, intake, and output, as well as other physical observations.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in nursing.
• Current license or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
• CPR (BLS) certification and NIH Stroke Certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification biannually for Emergency Dept., Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, ICU, and House Supervisors.
• NRP certification biannually for Nursery, STABLE preferred.
