Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Select anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of the body.
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist, or Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree required.
