Job Description

Job Title: Associate Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team at JCSI. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing complex electrical engineering projects within various industries, including industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Prepare electrical system concepts and calculations for industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food facilities.
  • Power Distribution: Develop single line diagrams and layouts for power distribution systems.
  • Lighting Systems: Perform lighting calculations and coordinate with architects to ensure seamless integration into overall project designs.
  • Miscellaneous Systems: Design and layout miscellaneous electrical systems, including fire alarm, communication, and security systems.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with mechanical and process engineers to coordinate electrical requirements for HVAC, plumbing, and process equipment.
  • Field Review and Commissioning: Monitor construction progress, perform field reviews, and participate in the commissioning of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and project requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical design, with a strong emphasis on industrial and manufacturing facilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.

Location: Remote and hybrid work arrangements available.

Salary: $62-80K, commensurate with experience.
