Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the assessment of patients and ensure their well-being.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services as needed.
  • Educate patients and families about disease treatment plans, including self-care post-discharge and available resources.
  • Work in a safe and alert manner at all times.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • No experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Physical Demands
  • Constant use of speech to communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of work location or compact multi-state license.
