Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence needs.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
- Conduct surveillance for hospital-acquired pressure ulcers and implement interventions to reduce nosocomial ulcer development.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
- Develop and maintain expertise in wound, ostomy, and continence care through ongoing education and professional development.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical nursing experience with at least 2 years in an acute care setting.
- WOCN National Certification within two years of accepting position.
- Strong critical thinking skills, ability to assess patients, and proficiency in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to analyze, develop, and maintain efficient office flow.
