Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to assess patient conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
- Ordering and Interpreting Diagnostic Tests: Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform patient care and treatment decisions.
- Prescribing and Administering Medications: Prescribe and administer medications and other therapeutic treatments to patients, taking into account efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Developing and Implementing Treatment Plans: Formulate and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, and professional practice guidelines.
- Counseling and Education: Provide patients and families with education and counseling on medical processes, health promotion, and disease management.
- Record Keeping and Consultation: Maintain accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes, and initiate timely consultation and referral when necessary.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification/License/Registration: Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
