A leading multi-state design firm in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an accomplished Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to lead their water resources projects team.

About the Role

This high-profile position involves providing technical leadership and project management for complex dam projects. Responsibilities include inspection, investigation, evaluation, design, and construction of both existing and new dams, reservoirs, levees, and hydraulic structures.

  • Provide technical expertise and project oversight to ensure high standards are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and review design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct senior-level reviews of construction documents (calculations, plans, specifications) and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and at least 12 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical, and/or structural engineering. A PE License is also required.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 12+ years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical, and/or structural engineering.
  • PE License.
  • Proficient in evaluating construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of state and federal dam safety design methodologies, policies, and regulations.
  • Project management/client relations experience.
  • Business development and proposal experience.

Salary is commensurate with experience and ranges between $120,000 - $180,000 per annum. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
