Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Immunotherapy Research Technician to join our team at the University of Pittsburgh. This is a full-time, regular position in the Laboratory Research Technician II category.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures related to mouse immunotherapy research. This includes preparing specimens, overseeing supply management, operating and maintaining equipment, and working with novel gene modified mice, CRISPR-editing of mouse leukemias, adoptive T cell immunotherapy, high-throughput genomic techniques, and state-of-the-art mouse model systems.

The candidate must have excellent technical skills, including molecular and cell biology techniques, handling of mice, and principles of cellular and molecular immunology as they relate to blood and marrow transplantation and cancer immunology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures
  • Prepare specimens and oversee supply management
  • Operate and maintain equipment
  • Work with novel gene modified mice, CRISPR-editing of mouse leukemias, adoptive T cell immunotherapy, high-throughput genomic techniques, and state-of-the-art mouse model systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, chemistry)
  • 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in immunotherapy research
  • Excellent technical skills, including molecular and cell biology techniques, handling of mice, and principles of cellular and molecular immunology
Estimated Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
