Job Summary and Qualifications Position: CT Technologist
Schedule: Night shift availability required
We are currently looking for a licensed CT Technologist in Florida to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be proficient in performing various CT examinations, including brain, spine, facial, thoracic, abdominal, and extremity imaging. Your focus on patient care is essential, and we welcome your dedication to helping others.
Please note that our facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center, which requires availability for rotating on-call assignments.
Responsibilities of the CT Technologist include, but are not limited to:
- Selecting appropriate technical parameters for studies and performing diagnostic CT examinations with care and respect.
- Demonstrating thorough operational knowledge of CT equipment and related technologies.
- Assisting with the administration of contrast media and other related procedures.
- Preparing and positioning patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Documenting all relevant clinical information accurately and timely.
- Obtaining high-quality CT images for interpretation.
- Staying current with software protocols and advancements in the field through ongoing education.
- Maintaining effective communication with patients and colleagues, including radiologists.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of equipment to prevent contamination.
- Accepting on-call responsibilities as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Completion of vocational/technical education in Radiologic Technology.
- Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications.
- Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients and equipment.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of recent experience as a CT Technologist, preferably in an acute-care setting.
This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, unless a medical or religious exemption is granted.
