Retail Banking Operations Specialist

Columbia Bank is seeking a highly skilled Retail Banking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Branch Administration department, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our retail banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Produce and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reporting for the Branch Administration department and the Executive Management team.
- Gather and analyze data from multiple systems and departments to uncover trends and translate the results into meaningful information for team members.
- Provide support and propose recommendations for improvements to tools and information used within retail analytics.
- Perform analysis of activities to improve core functions, growth, and profitability.
- Communications and Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Retail Banking Administration Manager in the content development for daily, weekly, and monthly communications on sales, service, and operations as needed.
- Act as a liaison between Branch Administration and other departments to plan and execute sales-related needs, training, and programs.
- Manage creation and communication efforts surrounding branch happenings such as compliance training deadlines, sales contests, rate changes, etc.
- Maintain all aspects of the Retail Banking Intranet page.
- Coordinate events such as branch conferences and Market Manager meetings.
- Vendor Relationship Management:
- Manage vendor relationships such as the Bank Visa Gift Cards, Cash/Coin Counters, and ADT.
- Act as a liaison between the bank and vendors to enhance our processes and reduce costs.
- Be the point of contact for branch-related service requests.
- Coordinate with the Accounting Department to submit invoices and relay information from AMS and ADT as needed. Resolve any issues with customers or vendors.
- Assist the Retail Banking Manager with staffing calls, attrition reporting, sales data validation of branch quarterly compensation plans, and other administrative requests as needed.
- Programs and Promotions Administration:
- Be responsible for tracking, validating, and crediting all current retail bank promotions.
- Consult with BI and Auditing for any tracking or validation needs.
- Keep records and reporting of bonuses paid.
- Complete monthly credit card reconciliation. Maintain current knowledge of gift card industry.
- Facilitate bi-yearly No Purchase Fee Gift Card Promo.
- Employee Engagement and Support:
- Collaborate with the Retail Banking Administration Manager in the design and implementation of retail employee engagement strategies, including recognition programs, career development, communication, and incentive programs.
- Work closely with Learning & Development and Recruiting teams to promote a consistent and effective onboarding experience for Retail branch employees.
- Manage Retail-specific Buddy Program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience working in business administration, Retail Banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues across different departments and areas of expertise.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
