We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pulmonary, Renal and General Medical Unit at Albany Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse III, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a diverse population of male and female patients with a variety of medical/surgical diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures as required.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Previous experience as a PCA or other nursing assistance preferred.
The Pulmonary, Renal and General Medical Unit is a 28-bed unit consisting of semi-private and private rooms. The unit provides care to patients with pulmonary, renal, and general medical diagnoses.
