POSITION SUMMARY - PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Under the guidance of the Field Service Supervisor, the Turf Maintenance Specialist is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service by visiting client sites to resolve any maintenance issues related to turf fields, while also conducting regular upkeep in line with organizational protocols. This role collaborates closely with the regional customer coordinator, who assists in scheduling the Specialist's appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to client locations to fulfill maintenance and repair requests for turf fields.
  • Identify and diagnose field-related issues, communicating findings to the Customer Service and Field Service coordinators for customer outreach.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns within 24 hours to enhance satisfaction levels.
  • Aim to resolve repair requests within a week of notification.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills to rectify various field-related problems.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Customer Service Coordinator, Field Care Coordinator, Field Service Manager, and Regional Sales Associate.
  • Participate in weekly work-in-progress meetings.
  • Educate clients on effective field maintenance practices and proper usage of field equipment.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with clients and team members.
  • Meet established sales objectives and outcomes.
  • Coordinate sales initiatives with regional clientele.
  • Complete detailed service reports and submit them to the Customer Service Representative within five days.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills.
  • Provide a comprehensive log of activities when not engaged in repair or maintenance tasks.
  • Promote and sell field maintenance services and equipment to both existing and potential clients.
  • Ensure company equipment is operational and perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
  • Keep an inventory of all equipment and document repair activities.
  • Manage supplies efficiently.
  • Proficiently utilize Outlook, Concur, and Field Service Lightning applications.

Education/Experience:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.

Computer Proficiency:

To perform this job successfully, individuals should be proficient with computers and possess an intermediate level of expertise in MS Office Suite and SharePoint.
