About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Memorial Health University Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job Summary
Our Radiologic Technologists are responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis of patient illnesses. You will prepare patients for radiological procedures, adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors, and maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them correctly and adjusting immobilization devices
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images
- Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and maintain production and quality of radiographs
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images
- Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and other types of care to patients
- Participate in emergency call rotation to meet department needs
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
